Introduction

I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Szeged. I graduated in Philosophy at Loránd Eötvös University, Budapest in 1995. I completed my PhD at the University of Debrecen in 2006. In my thesis I aimed at a phenomenological reconstruction of Freudian psycho-analysis. I have been teaching at the University of Szeged since 2000. I teach courses on metaphysics, epistemology, logic, the history of philosophy in the 20th century, philosophy of psychology and philosophy of mind.

Research profile

My most recent research focuses on the relationship of continental and analytic philosophy. Although there is little communication between these philosophical enterprises, one can find some overlapping fields such as the role of lived body in the formation of mental contents, or the concept of situatedness (in the context of perception, embodiment, inference etc.). My most recent work adresses these issues.

I am the author of two books (one about Freud, another about Foucault) and a number of papers listed in the appropriate databases.
