Introduction
I completed my university bachelor's degree in Szeged, where I studied aesthetics in the liberal arts major. I got my MA degree at the same place, namely in philosophy. I defended my doctoral dissertation, entitled Anarchy and order, in the spring of 2024, also in Szeged. I’ve been working at the Department of Philosophy from February 2024, currently as an assistant lecturer. Since 2022, I have been the editor of the philosophical journal, Különbség. My teaching profile mainly includes art theory and aesthetic subjects, but I also teach classes dealing with modern political philosophy and anthropology. From the very beginning, my research interest has been directed at the fundamental problems of modern aesthetics, but I am convinced that these problems, like the science of aesthetics itself, are incomprehensible without understanding all the political-philosophical, ethical, and anthropological discourses that constantly surround and permeate it.
Research profile
Lately, I have mainly been dealing with the problem of artistic and aesthetic value, aesthetic normativity and taste. In my scientific activity, I specifically strive to follow the "continental" and "analytical" discourses of contemporary philosophy, sometimes creating a bridge between traditions that are sometimes blind to each other, and sometimes playing off the fundamentals of one of them against the other. The reason for this lies primarily in my habitus as a researcher, which considers historical analyzes just as important as the need for strict and precise reasoning. This commitment – I hope – also leaves its mark on my courses from time to time.
