The Department of Finno-Ugrian Philology offers courses on several Uralic languages and different linguistic disciplines, covering topics connected to for example endangered languages, language documentation, sociolinguistics or typology. Courses on the history, literature and ethnography of Finno-Ugric speaker communities are also available. Currently Finnish and Udmurt are taught by native speakers of the languages, at the same time, Mansi and Nganasan can be studied from a more philological point of view. Students are welcomed on all three levels, we have something to offer for BA, MA and PhD students alike!
For PhD applicants more information is available here: http://nydi.szte.hu/Uralic_studies.html (in English and in Hungarian)
