The aim of the course is to help students who are majoring or minoring in English to understand the characteristics of the English Studies degree program; provide a structured introduction to the field of English studies as a scholarly discipline of the humanities; as well as provide a structured introduction to the dynamism of the changes within this specific academic field.

By the end of the course students will be familiar with the basic terminology, themes and approaches that characterize the diversity within the discipline.
