Thank you for your interest in studying with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Szeged.
To apply for the 2027/2028 Fall semester, submit application materials and pay the registration fee of EUR 79 (non-refundable) before April 30, 2027.
The International Office will receive your application and consult with your intended department. You will be notified by May 5 at the latest if your application meets the entry requirements.
You then need to pay the entrance exam fee of EUR 250 (non-refundable) by May 10, and an entrance exam will be scheduled as soon as possible but not later than May 31.
Professors from your intended department will evaluate your academic and language proficiency as well as motivation. The exam interview is conducted online. Your identity will be validated through your documents, and minutes of the meeting will be recorded. The entrance exams take place over several weeks in the spring months, so it is advisable to secure your place as soon as possible.
Applicants will be informed of their status by June 5th at the latest. If successful, you will get conditional acceptance along with instructions for the next steps to pay the tuition fee. The Letter of Acceptance is one of the most important requirements for applying for a student visa, which applicants will only receive after paying their tuition fees. The visa application process can take several weeks, so we recommend that you start the process as soon as possible. If you need to apply for a visa, you will need to pay the tuition fee within 2 weeks in order to get the letter of acceptance.
